Scottish Committee Meeting

The Scottish Committee at its meeting on 25/9/2010 in Wishaw decided that this Highlands and Islands website should be expanded to include the Scottish Regions in preparation for the May 2011 Holyrood Elections.
This meeting began to develop the strategy for identifying and selecting candidates for the Scottish Election. We hope to have a List of candidates for every Region in Scotland, and this website will be the main means for locating them and putting them in touch with each other.
Some contact names and telephone numbers appear on the various Regional pages found under the drop-down menu. If you would like to be included, please respond using the link on the relevant page.
Our aim is to have Regional lists of candidates and the Manifesto in place by the end of 2010 so that each Region can devote their energy in 2011 to the campaign itself. Regions are encouraged to contact each other for support, ideas and information.
The Scottish Committee is meeting monthly at a moving location to give supporters opportunity to meet them. The September meeting was in the Wishaw headquarters and the October meeting will be in Glasgow. The next may be in Edinburgh and in the Spring it may co-incide with a Scottish Conference in Perth in preparation for the Election campaign.
